Al-Inshiqaq describes the sky obeying its Lord and the earth emptying itself, then divides mankind by which hand receives the record, and closes with an oath that you are moving from one stage to the next whether you notice or not.
At this pace the whole surah takes 9 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
The earth emptied and levelled, man labouring towards his Lord, and the record taken in the right hand or from behind the back.
Study days 1-5
Oaths by the twilight, the night and the moon; the refusal to prostrate; and the reward that is never cut off.
Study days 6-9
The line 'you shall surely travel from stage to stage' is addressed to everyone alive, and the surah's point is that the stages do not stop at the last one you can see.
A short walk through all 2 sections of this surah, in the order you will memorise them.
Book a first lesson with a Quran teacher and bring this schedule with you. Many of our teachers offer that first lesson free.
